The Fisherman MAX is IP67 rated and designed to land on saltwater. The Aeroo Pro is weather-resistant only and will not survive submersion. For ocean fishing where crashes into waves happen, this single difference makes the decision.

The Fisherman MAX wins on two things nothing else can match: IP67 waterproofing and 7 lb payload capacity. If either of those is a hard requirement for your fishing, the $2,299 price is the cost of entry. There is no cheaper alternative that survives ocean landings or carries heavy game fishing rigs.
