- WiFi FPV delay makes it impossible to navigate precisely through the phone screen
- No GPS or optical flow means it drifts constantly. Indoor flying requires a large, open room
- DEERC Fly app has mixed reviews. Works fine for some, crashes constantly for others
- 6 m/s max speed is slow. Fine indoors, frustrating outdoors in any breeze
Loolinn Z3
- Three batteries included give about 60 minutes of total flight time for $50. That ratio is hard to beat
- Optical flow sensor on the bottom helps it hold position indoors far better than pure barometer drones
- 132 grams and foldable makes it light enough to toss in a bag without thinking about it
- 20 minutes per battery is the longest single-charge flight time of any drone under $100 on this list
- Physical buttons on the controller for tricks means less time in the app, more time flying
- 720p camera produces grainy, washed-out video that looks like it's from 2015
- All recordings save to your phone over Wi-Fi. No SD card slot, no way to get higher quality files
- Optical flow only works over flat, well-lit surfaces. On grass, carpet patterns, or in dim light it loses tracking

Price Range
Both cost $50. The Z3 includes three batteries for about 48 minutes of real flight time. The D20 includes two batteries for about 15 minutes. That's a massive gap.
The Z3 gives you over three times the airtime for the same price. The D20's included carrying case is worth maybe $8-10 on its own.
Even accounting for the case, the Z3 is the better value by a wide margin.

Battery Life
Battery life is the defining difference. The Z3's 48-minute total destroys the D20's 15 minutes. Three batteries versus two, and each Z3 battery lasts longer per charge.

The DEERC D20 is a better package for gifting. If you're spending your own money, buy the Z3. If you're buying a gift, the D20 looks more impressive.
