Seven accessories for a drone that does not officially exist in some markets. The emphasis is on protection (because warranty support is limited) and getting the 1-inch sensor to produce its best work (because ND filters are not optional at f/1.8).
Freewell DJI Mini 5 Pro All Day 6-Pack ($50)
The single most important accessory for the Mini 5 Pro if you shoot video. Six ND filters from ND16 to ND1000 cover every lighting condition.
The 1-inch sensor at f/1.8 collects more light than any previous Mini's camera. Without filters, bright-day footage will have that choppy, high-shutter-speed look. Confirm you are buying the Mini 5 Pro set, not the Mini 4 Pro version.
DJI Mini 5 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery Plus ($111)
52 minutes rated, 33 minutes of real recording time. One Battery Plus covers what two standard batteries cannot quite match.
Pushes the drone above 249g, which triggers registration requirements. Not available in Europe. If you are outside the US or EU and sub-250g status does not matter to you, this is the battery to buy.
DJI Mini 5 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery ($78)
36 minutes rated, 21 minutes typical recording. Keeps the Mini 5 Pro under 249g.
The right choice if you need sub-250g status or if you are building a multi-battery rotation on a budget. Two standard batteries plus the included one gives you roughly an hour of real recording time.
Skyreat DJI Mini 5 Pro Carrying Case ($36)
Hard EVA shell with custom foam for the drone, RC 2 or RC-N3 controller, three batteries, and cables.
On a drone with no official warranty, physical protection is not a nice-to-have. The Skyreat case is light (1.5 lbs), has a shoulder strap, and costs less than one battery. For premium protection, the Nanuk 915 ($80+) is the step up.
PGYTECH Landing Pad Pro V2 ($25)
A 50cm foldable landing pad that stakes down in wind. Orange on one side, grey on the other.
Launching and landing on grass, sand, or gravel kicks debris into the gimbal and motor vents. The Mini 5 Pro's LiDAR does not help here. A pad is cheap insurance for a camera module you cannot easily get serviced.
DJI RC 2 Screen Protector ($13)
9H tempered glass for the RC 2's 5.5-inch screen. Two protectors per pack.
The RC 2 ships with the Fly More Combo and is the standard controller for the Mini 5 Pro. Tempered glass handles the scratches from bag storage and field use that plastic film does not resist.
Kingston Canvas Go! Plus 256GB ($22)
V30/U3 microSD at 170 MB/s read, 90 MB/s write. 256GB holds roughly 5-6 hours of 4K footage.
The Mini 5 Pro has 42GB of internal storage, which is more than most drones include. But at 4K/60fps, that fills up in about 2 hours. A 256GB card gives you a full day of shooting without managing storage mid-session. At $22, there is no reason not to carry one.
